Health Care Assistants

Three of our Healthcare Assistants have recently embarked on an exciting journey into their Nursing career.

Assistant Practitioner
Gaynor Evans

Gaynor Evans has successfully completed her Assistant Practitioner course, which means she has required a high level of skill and knowledge beyond that of a healthcare assistant, this will allow her to deliver high-quality patient centred care.

Trainee Nurse Associates
Aimee Fisher & Rob Hallal

Robert Hallal and Aimee Fisher have recently started on their Trainee Nursing Associate course. This is a new generic nursing role that bridges the gap between healthcare assistants and registered nurses.

The Nursing Associate role is new to England and City Walls Medical Centre is one of the first practices to support healthcare assistants to start this journey.  This course will allow Robert and Aimee to perform more complex and significant tasks than a healthcare assistant and will allow them to gain the experience, skills, and knowledge to progress into graduate-level nursing.
