Chester Drain Site Investigation Works: Update
Over the coming weeks Cheshire West and Chester Council are undertaking preparatory site investigations along the route for the forthcoming city centre drainage tunnel. These investigations are necessary infrastructure works prior to the main works starting later in the autumn.
Cheshire West and Chester Council’s highways teams are working very closely with the contractors to ensure disruption is kept to a minimum. However, some traffic congestion is inevitable especially at peak times.
A certain amount of inconvenience is inevitable with work of this type and they would greatly appreciate your patience whilst the works are being undertaken. The 6 Investigation Zones and impacts are summarised below:
